I am sure this was an error, not malice, but this ruined the last day of our trip and the hotel staff was unable to secure us a replacement, nor was there any offer of compensation. Housekeeping threw out our event tickets. Generally, the staff were also a delight to deal with but too instances of staff incompetence ruined what should have been a perfect 5 star review: 1. Our room, a corner suite with a view of the Angel, was gorgeous too. Before explaining the poor review I must recognize the incredible efforts by Diana that made the best first impression possible. Again the was no effort by the hotel staff to. Hotel staff lost our food delivery one night because the concierge was away from his desk and other employees did not follow protocol. If you can't trust your belongings to be secure in the hotel then how can you stay here?Ģ. They missed the most important thing a hotel is: a SAFE and SECURE place to stay abroad. All of these I could have tolerated, but losing our event tickets really was unforgivable. There were multiple instances of overzealous cleaning by housekeeping, such as disposing of other, less important, papers and throwing clothing into bags, mixing dirty and clean clothes. We should have at least been offered the face cost of the tickets to compensate, though it would hardly make up for missing that day's plans.
